    - Hyperlinks when published When I add hyperlinks to other docs or sites to my page, they work with "ctrl - click" in Publisher, but don't work in the preview or when published.     - JPGs changing color when importing/exporting Two related questions I have a color managed workflow, with a profiled monitor and Epson 1290 printer. I use Photoshop CS2 and Pub 2002. I prepare my images in PS and save them as JPGs with sRGB color profiles. I am trying to create a full year calendar in Pub on a single page with a different image for each month. I have the dates in an excel worksheet which I insert as an object. Q1 - When I import my images into Pub they all lack in vribrancy and saturation. I know that I can change brightness & contrast in format picture but a) this should be necessary & b) it doesnt get them back to how they were in PS. When I print the out put has the same slightly washed out appearance. Q2 - I also want to produce some of these as 24 x 20 photos. I have therefore used the save as option to creat a JPG which I was proposing to send to my local photographic lab. However the output JPG is OVER saturated and skin tones look dreadful.     - Images - Publisher vs Word I'm pretty new to Publisher. I have a 72 dpi graphic logo as a .TIFF, done up in Photoshop CS2 that I'd like to lay on a document in Publisher. Sounds simple. And it is until I get a look at the crummy results. In a word: Blurry - to say the least. But, if I insert this very same logo into another MS product like Word 2003, it's really quite nice - clear and crisp - edges well defined, color has "pop" and so forth.     - Post card While merging address data in pub 2003 I was able to print 4 copies of the front of the 8.5" x 11" sheet with different addresses on the back now the 2007 pub version only allows copies so the address side has 4 of the same name until you get to the fourth page when the second name comes up another 4 times and so on do I need to find a copy of 2003 for the feature or was it an over sight? -- Leo -- Leo Tag: Sign Templates Tag: 163422

    - a required installation file SKU111.CAB could not be found Hi. I have an XP with Office 2003. I've had Publisher 2003 for years and a couple of weeks ago I installed Publisher 2007. I've been using it and it's worked fine until this morning. Now when I try to open an existing Publisher document (which I just used yesterday), I get an error message stating: "Installation Error: File not Found" A required installation file SKU111.CAB could not be found Original Installation Source Required: It's telling me to install my original Office 2003 CD (which I can't find). Is there something I can do since I don't have the original CD? Plus, why would this do this today when it's been working fine all along? I use Publisher every day. Thanks for any help.     - setting up a book cover? I've been reading about this, the only directions I could find for doing it is how to set up a book (for pubish on demand, mainly) in WORD. This has a very brief discription of how to to set up the cover design (if one has no choice) in Word. Since I have Publisher (2000) I'm thinking that would be better, of course. I don't have a specific book and cover in mind, just would like to learn to do it. The directions for Word has how to set up the measurments, with extra on the edges for "bleed" and figuring the space for the spine (going by pages in the book, pages per inch, etc) but says to set it up landscape, as 2 columns. I was looking in Publisher and don't seen any templates for book covers, so think it must be "blank pages" and setting the measurements, size, of 3 of these, with the one for the spine set accordingly? The orientation would be portrait, but then printed landscape, but I don't think ordinary printer paper would be long enough for this. The entire book cover (front, back and spine) is printed in one piece? The example in my instructions (for a paperback size) is 12 3/4" X 9 1/2". In this case, except for testing it, it would be set up the size it's needed, and then saved in a certain way, "for the printer" (whoever is going to make the book) Also, the instructions (which apply to Word) says CMYK colors are best (which Word doesn't have). I've never done much with anything like that, or setting up a job "for a professional printer". I know there's a pack up setting on Publisher for getting it ready to print. I have Photoshop, which I believe has an option for using CMYK colors, I've just never been interested in this aspect, before. As I said, I don't have a book I want to set up or make a cover for, but got interested in this -especially in the "print on demand" area. I have seen ads for this, that say "decuct $175 from the price if you design your own cover" So, someone must be designing and setting up covers for these books, which seems to be creative and an art form in itself. Though, I would think, at one time, when books were only published by big companies, they would have their own cover designers setting them up. Now, there's more the "do it yourself" area. Maybe there are tutorials and info about this someone knows about? I've tried searches. All I could find was the little book (self published I think) about setting up a book and a few pages about cover design, using Word. And, a lot of the book involved why Word is NOT the best/first choice for doing this, but if you have no choice... Thanks! Carrie Tag: Sign Templates Tag: 163400

    - How do I set up Publisher to find clip art file for border art? I have Microsoft Office2003 installed with a typical install on a HP pavillion lap top using Windows Vista. When I try to add custom border art I am offered a collection of pictures from clip art, but when I select a picture and try to insert it into the border art I get a message that says "Publisher can not find file. I have exactly the same installation on an older desktop computer running XP and I have no problem.     - Publisher 2003 hangs up Can anyone help? I completely reinstalled Windows XP and all of my applications. Everything works fine except Publisher 2003. I have used 'add/remove programs' and removed Publisher 3 times, reinstalling from the CD - using different configurations such as Complete, typical and Custom. Each time the install seems to go OK and I can open Publisher, but whenever I try and do something (such as open an existing dorument, create a new dicument, etc.) Publisher just stops and I get a message at the top of the screen saying 'not responding'.     - Set margins? I re-installed Publisher 02 on my new computer today. I went to open an existing file and the margins are not set. The top and bottom of the pages are getting cut off.     - Publisher 2007 pdf conversion - email hyperlinks error I am using Publisher 2007 with the Microsoft pdf add-in. When my document is created in pdf format, all of my email hyperlinks are "mailto:mailto:abc@abc.com", redundancy in the "mailto:" header. When I click on the link, Outlook generates an email with the address "mailto:abc@abc.com", which, of course, doesn't work with the mailto header in there.     - Bullet Pictures Hi; I'm fairly new to Publisher and I am creating a flyer for a small business. I've been trying to spruce up the look by customizing the bullets with a particular pic.     - Upgrading from 2000 to 2007 and Keeping my templates I am running Publisher 2000 right now. My office just bought Publisher 2007 and says I must upgrade. When they tried to put Publisher 2003 on my computer, I lost my documents formatting and templates. Is there a way to put Publisher 2007 on my computer and still use my 2000 templates and documents?     - Removing white space around embedded picture I'm sorry - I know there is probably a really simple solution to this and I'm just not finding it, and no one else in my office seems to know either. And unfortunately, I'm under the gun with this particular project. I'm inserting a picture - a logo - into a Publisher document. Half of it covers a broad purple band at the top of the page, and the other half 'hangs' below that. Why can't I download 'Publications for Print' Sign templates?

They are not templates within the Publisher program. Are you downloading the
sign from the Office web site? If you are, empty your temporary Internet cache.
In Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options, delete files. Try again.

Are you getting an error? What version Publisher?
