Change the font size of several text boxes at the same time.
Hi
Does anybody know how I can change the font size of several text boxes at the
same time in Publisher 2007?
i.e.
I have several separate text boxes on a page. Each box has text inside it. I
want to make all the text on the page in each text box the same size
simultaneously. Making the text boxes the same font simultaneously is as easy
as clicking a button. However, making the text the same size doesn't seem to
be as simple.
Many Thanks,
Troy Filipek

Lost key code
Hi: Now that I have solved my book format problem I find that my my main
printer doesn't want to cooperate in double-sided printing. But when I tried
to install Publisher on a second household computer I saw that the orginal
case, with the KEY CODE, was long gone. How do I retrieve the original KEY
CODE for my 2002 Publisher disc?
Thanks again. MargeHD

Colored Contact Lenses - How To Choose The Color That Is Best For You
You want colored contact lenses but you aren't sure which color would
be best for you? Here are some tips that should help you select your
best color.
First of all there are two major types of colored contacts -
enhancement color lenses and opaque lenses. Enhancement lenses are
suitable for people with light eyes only, and are designed to make
your own color brighter or give it a slightly different hue. For
example: a person with naturally green eyes can wear blue enhancement
color lenses and get most beautiful aqua effect.
Opaque lenses are designed for a more dramatic change. Whether you
have light or dark eyes, opaque lenses are not transparent, so they
completely replace the natural color of your eyes with the color of
the lens.
What type and color of colored lenses to select depends on the effect
you want to achieve.
You want your eye color to get brighter, but you don't want to startle
everybody who knows you with a different color.
In this case, if you have light blue eyes, choose blue or aqua
enhancement color contacts. You can also try Freshlook Radiance in
Eden or Moonlight, which gives your eye an 'illuminated' effect.
If your natural color is gray or blue-gray, try blue from Acuvue 2
Colors or Freshlook Dimensions, to get a beautiful ocean blue color.
If you feel more adventurous, go for jade green. Green eyes are quite
rare, so you can make a statement with your new color.
If your eyes are brown, none of the enhancement color contacts would
work for you. Try brown opaque lenses, which will make your color more
defined, or hazel, which would make them lighter. You can also
consider Freshlook Radiance Sunrise (lighter) or Autumn (darker), to
add shimmer to your eyes.
Do you want to try something dramatically different from your natural
color?
In this case opaque color lenses like Freshlook Colorblends, Acuvue 2
Colors opaques or Illusions by Ciba Vision would be your best choice.
If you have dark eyes and dark hair, try blue or amethyst colors, like
True Sapphire or Amethyst from Freshlook Colorblends collection.
Amethyst looks extremely daring and

Align editable text to outside margin of each page?
How do I place an editable text box on the outside margin of each page in MS
Publisher 2003?
The actual text in the text box of each page will be different. The pages
will switch from left to right on a 2-page spread as new pages are added, but
I want the text to stay along the outside margins.
Can I place editable text boxes in the Master Pages? Or align text boxes or
text horizontally, along the outside margins? I found an option like this in
Word, but not Publisher. :(

Converting Pub to JPeg
Have MS Small Bus. Office 2007. I quite often create marketing flyers in
Publisher to be emailed to business prospects. I recently started savings
these as JPeg's. First of all, which resolution should I use: Web (96dpi);
Standard (150 dpi) or High Quality (300 dpi)?? Next question: Then I create
an (Outlook 2007) email and insert the particular Jpeg marketing flyer in the
"body" of the email. Is this the best way to achieve my desire to send
marketing info to business prospects via email? OR, should I simply have the
marketing piece as a attachment? Any other suggestions? Thanks much.

A page insertion question
In Publisher 2000 running on XP, is there a way to insert a single page back
at the page 20 level in a 50 page single fold catalog thereby moving pages
21-50 up one page level? I realize you need to add pages in increments of 4,
but I only want one added at page 20 and the others added at 52-54.

alt tags problem with publisher
Hello,
I've created a newsletter to send out on email.
All looking good, apart from when I send it out as a test via email to
myself. The first line of text on the page appears as an alt tag /
text hovering over the majority of the email, and I have no idea how
to get rid of it.
This is if I view the email in Office 2003 - If I view the email in
Outlook Office 2007, the text doesn't appear.
Bizzare.
Is there a bug that anyone knows about this?
Is there a global setting in publisher that would cause this to
appear?
Any help appreciated!

Publish Directory, Data from Access
I am preparing our neighborhood directory, hoping to use Publisher instead of
cutting and pasting documents from Access, Excel, and Word. I have Office
2007 Pro. The data itself requires an Access report of 70 pages. Not all
data fields resist for all residents (some are null). The report requires a
subreport listing the children if they exist.
I tried to export the report from Access to an Adobe Acrobat 7 document
(standard in Office 2007) and import it as an object in Publisher. I get the
1st page, but cannot get it to flow through to additional pages. Exporting
one page at a time from Access and then importing one page at a time into
Publisher for 70 pages seems a bit time consuming.
I tried using catalog merge. The merge works except for 2 things:
1. I cannot get the children (the equivalent of a sub report).
2. I cannot make a merge field shrink it the contents are null or make a
merge field grow if the data takes more than one line.
Am I using the right software? I have never used Publisher before, and have
been teaching myself. Hopefully, I just missed something and there is an
easy answer.

Zoom view
I want to show a picture with a zoomed portion that highlights a particular
area. I want to be able to emphasize (and zoom--not dynamically) to show
detail in a portion of the picture.
For instance, if I had a picture of a car's engine and wanted to show the
image of the engine in a reduced brightness and then show a zoomed area that
focuses on the car battery.
I thought that I could put a auto-shape with a cropped portion of the
original image, and then put it on top of the original image. This may work,
but it doesn't show a zoomed view (like lines that connect the auto-shape,
maybe a circle, to the area of emphasis on the original picture)
Any help with the is is greatly appreciated!!!

How do I import Publisher98 documents to Publisher 2007?
Have produced every document ever needed for my business and personal life
with Publisher 98. Just upgraded to a new computer and decided to try the
new Publisher version by downloading the trial version. Copied my old
98files (documents) onto the new computer and put them into the Publisher
2007 folder. Opened 2007, then tried to open one of my old 98 documents only
to be told that there was not enough memory, which is silly given the new
computer is a zillion times more powerful than the last.
Tried tech support and told that the trial version did not qualify for tech
support, and besides, to transfer these files was a very complicated thing.
Is Publisher 2007 the same animal as Publisher 98, just newer and with more
bells & whistles, or is just a Microsoft product with a similar name? If it
is the same, why can't I open the documents? Is it possible to accomplish
this? I really, really, do not want to have to redo everything on this new
version.

Supersized documents
I do a 6 page newsletter that incorporates maybe 15 or so images (some clip
art.... some snagged from the web). Copyright issues aside (this is a SMALL
NEWSLETTER for local members of a craft club -- no money making involved), I
am frustrated in that my document seems to grow to enormous sizes.
Generally -- I take last month's document... do a save as... then delete
nearly all of the content. This preserves the need for recreating several
repeat features/headlines.
Pictures are usually either jpg or gifs. I then rebuild next month's
newsletter. I print it to PDF for easy distribution to craft club members.
I noticed this issue is more than 16 MB. HUGE!! And not quite finished
yet! I haven't written to PDF yet -- but you know it will be of
substantial size as well.
I do have a number of little text boxes lying around the "gray space" while
I work on the document.
What suggestions can you give me to help keep the size of my documents down?
What picture format is recommended? (I can convert using PSP if needed.) I
do have to snail mail some copies -- so image resolution for printing needs
to be maintained.
I am using Pub 2000 on a Win XP Pro System.
Thanks in advance.

I read the conversation about not all fonts available in Publisher at this site, but it did not help. My document is not a Web publication, it is a Print Publication.

Embedded TIFs vs. JPGs
Our marketing department uses Publisher for our many many project proposals.
We have Publisher documents saved that are used as â??templatesâ?? for the
proposals we create â?? start from a template and add to that any information
needed for the current proposal.
The template files have a lot of embedded images which are TIF files. As we
add pages to these files, they are become very large (200 MB sometimes) that
modifying them in Publisher is becoming a chore and performance is poor.
Linking the images is not an option.
My questions: If we replace the TIF files with JPG files:
1) The files will surely be smaller, but will the performance improve?
2) JPGs are known to lose their clarity over time, where TIFs are lossless.
If we put the JPG into a document and leave it there, will the fact that it
is lossy make a difference if we arenâ??t modifying the image at all? What if
we make copies of the Publisher document over and over again? Will that make
a difference to the clarity of the picture?
We donâ??t want to change the TIFs to JPGs and then realize down the line that
our images are not sharp.
