Security UPdate

Fellow Pubbers,

Seems Microsoft is offering a free CD containing all the Security Updates
for Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, & XP.

It can be ordered at:

Part II of this message:

In order to avoid condemnation from the Publisher Purists, I would also
appreciate the solution on how I would add the umlauts to my prose and
poetry when writing in Swahili using the Icelandic version of Publisher
2000?

Now if you respond to the second part of this message, we do offer therapy.

You could:
a) Change your keyboard layout to one that contains umlauted characters (not
so good on a US keyboard because you will have a key missing, as the US
keyboards are one key down on the European ones)
b) Learn the Ascii control codes for the characters (Alt-0223 is ß, Alt-0228
is ä, Al--246 is ö, and Alt-0252 is ü)
c) Set up AutoCorrects to change sequences of characters to special
characters (don't know how good Publisher 2000 is at this - you could say
u: -> ü, etc)
d) Use Insert > Symbol

Which letters need umlauts? Try
http://babel.uoregon.edu/yamada/fonts/icelandic.html or
http://www.gy.com/www/lc.htm

What if you switched from Swahili to one of the other 2034 (and counting)
African languages? And don't forget the Afroasiatic languages. Perhaps one
of those would be better suited for the Icelandic version of Publisher?
