    - PDF Add-in colors changed to black using Publisher 2007 I have Publisher 2007 which shows it to be Beta2 though it came pre-installed on a recently purchased PC. Help shows that it is SP1 MSO (12.0.6213.1000) I installed theMicrosoft Office PDF/XML add-in which works well apart from where text is coloured. Where is is the case, it is converted to black in the resulting PDF. I have tried High Quality and OCmmercial printing setting and checked advanced options but can't see any setting which may be causing this. Design Checker flags the coloured text as being RGB so I converted it to CMYK but is still gets changed to Black when Publish to PDF (or Save as PDF) are used. (I tried to Apply to the Beta feedback site to report this bughttps://connect.microsoft.com/feedback/default.aspx?SiteID=227 but whilst there were Apply buttons for other software these now seme to have been removed for this product even though there are still recent feedback posts being recorded.) PS: Adobe Acrobat Standard is also installed and preserves the colour of the text but I would prefer to use the PDF add-in becuase it seems more relliable when rendering non-standard fonts.     - emergency! Publisher 2002 took booklet to printer......several weeks ago to have them check it out. They said it was good. Ha! Took final copy and now they say it isn't "formatted" correctly.     - xp/vista incompatability? I created several pub files using office 2007. I pasted in multiple Word docs created with two computers, one using XP, the other using Vista. The files using docs from both computers will not open ("publisher cannot open this file" error). I ran a test with 6 Word docs created on XP pasted into a publisher file, opened closed it with Vista computer, no problem. Pasted 1 Word doc created on Vista into the same file then closed and tried to reopen document but got the aformentioned error message. I tried the registry fixes Mary Sauer suggested but no results.     - Exporting Colour Schemes Hi, I need a way of forcing many people throughout my organisation to use a standard set of colour schemes. We are working with a commercial printers, and I need to make sure that everyone is using CMYK colour space within Publisher. My plan is to set up a range of accpetable colour schemes, then remove all the default colour schemes to force people to use the correct ones. There doesn't seem to be any way of exporting schemes within publisher, so I was hoping I'd be able to find a file somewhere which stored the schemes I could copy onto all my users PC's.     - Different header for each chapter I am having trouble applying a different header to each chapter of my publication. I have inserted a section break and if I change any of the headers in any section they all change to match. The only way around this is to use a different master page for each chapter which somewhat defeats the purpose of having a uniform master page. Am I missing something?     - Linked or synched text boxes I notice that in the Accent Box Newsletter template there are some text boxes that are synched ... that is, if you change the text on the first page, it changes on the third page.     - New and lost! I am trying to use Publisher 2000 to setup my newsletter. I already created the 4 pages that will make up the newsletter. I have created them in .PDF because of special formatting involved. When I try to cut and paste the pages to a blank 17x11 template, some of the text shows up but none of the graphics or formatting. Post office wants me to switch to 11 x 17 paper. Final product shpould have 2 sheets of this paper folded which gives me the same 8 pages. Publisher is my choice because I am applying graphics and like how publisher allows you to creat a single card and then populates the template.     - Problem with Catalog Merge and Master pages I have a four page document set up that has a 2-page master page. The master page has mirrored margins with the inside margin at 0.5" and the outside margin at 0.125". I set up a catalog merge with the first page having 1 across and 4 down. When I go to merge the data, all my pages are numbered 1 and they all have the same margins instead of the mirrored margins for oposite pages.     - Problem with copy/paste function Hello, I've been using Publisher for 3 1/2 years - taught myself how to use it, and I've gotten fairly proficient. But, I'm having a problem that's never occured before. First off though, I am on a networked system. Most of the files I use are on the server which everyone has acccess to. We are all using the same version of Publisher (2000 v.6.0) I was given a new hard drive in June by the church board of trustees - nice, huh? It's much faster than my old one and I've had relatively few problems except for this one I'm dealing with for Publisher. Ever since getting the new drive, which has the same version of Publisher as my old drive, I have not been able to copy and paste from one Publisher document to another. I have to copy from the Publisher document, paste into a Word document, copy that and paste into the different Publisher document. I never had to do that before, and I'm guessing that it's a setting somewhere, but I can't figure out which one would have an effect on this function. II did a detect and repair, but that didn't seem to have an effect. It acts like it's copying from the first document, but when I click paste, or ctrl V, or any other copy/paste command Microsoft has, nothing shows up.     - HELP!!!! Printing only half of document. I have a booklet I have created in Publisher 2007. It is sized to be 1/2 of an 8.5" x 11" (portrait)page so I can get 2 booklets from one set of paper. The total booklet is 32 pages (8 sheets of double sided paper). When I print the document 2 sided (portrait), only half of the pages print. If I print single sided all pages print. If I print double sided landscape all pages print, however the printing is in the center of the paper and requires substantial trimming (e.g. wasted paper).     - Publisher 2003 Outside Margin Printing Problem Using Publisher 2003, my right side margin guide is set at .4". The document when printed, cuts off the text. The right side of the page leaves a margin of one inch. The text is cut off all the way down the page by one inch. This is not a problem in Word 2003.     - printing transparency problems still In a previous post, said publisher has problems with transp. Would installing a new graphics card cause a problem. I tried using the transp. on pictures, and it still gives me the problem. It is alright till I go to print. In print preview looks fine, I haave the printer set up to have a separate print pre view, when it does that, you can see the picture is going to be blotchy.     - Making labels using mail merge, only half are printing Ok I've made some labels using mail merge with excel as the data source and when I try to print one label repeatedly on one page it prints 8 copies no problem.     - Cannot open file I spent the best part of an afternoon editing some maps, yet Publisher 2003 kept stalling towards the end. It got to the point where I was saving it after every change but the reason it was stalling was because it was too big! I sent it to a different (read better) computer but even with the extra memory and swap file size, it couldn't open it.     - I need help with printer settings in Vista In XP, I used to be able to go into options and tell it to use print settings from document or from printer, and if I used a template for a specialty paper(i.e.: Avery 2-up postcard), it would print out correctly. I am now using Vista w/Office 2003 & an HP Officejet 7310, and I can't get anything to print right. I am using a Publisher Template to print out my business cards on micro-perfed business card stock (2 across & 5 down), but no matter how I change the background size, change margins on the Layout Guide or Page Settings, it prints slightly off. My business cards have a background that goes to the edge. Furthermore, I can't just use stock template settings, I have to print it out, lay it over the specialty paper, note changes, make adjustments, print it out & start the whole process over again until I get it right - if I can get it right. I am wasting so much time, paper & ink! Has anyone else figured out how to get it to use the page srint settings, not the printer settings or trying to use both?
