    - Publisher changes my margins when I don't want it to. I'm trying to stop publisher 2007 from changing my margins whenever I change printers. I have multiple printers and whenever I change printers or even paper trays, the margins that are set up change to some default that I cannot find. I'm not trying to change the margin defaults, just wanting to save what I have set up, say for printing 10 bus. cards on a single sheet.     - Publisher 2003-Tabloid Size-Problems with PDF I created a newsletter using Publisher 2003. I laid it out in tabloid sized paper (11x17) and portrait view. It prints perfectly on paper but when trying to convert to a PDF (printing to PDF Converter) I get a PDF with just a couple sections of the newsletter thoughout the page. I made sure that the PDF paper/output was "tabloid" and that the scaling was 100%. Even after playing with 50% or 75% I keep getting partial versions of the newsletter.     - Lost a font, where'd it go? I was working in publisher with "Antique Olive", document looked great, printed well. That was 2 days ago, open document today and it tells me that it has "LOST" the font. It appears in the font menu but next to it in brackets it says "missing". Where'd it go? How do I get it back.     - Printing Banners from Publisher 2007 How do I set up a banner in Publisher 2007 to print onto 47.24 x 11.693" paper without it trying to tile the job. I have a KonicaMinolta MFP that does banner prints on this size paper and it works just fine using Publisher 2003. I need to use a computer that has 2007 loaded on it and everytime I go into page setup, even though I have made the default printer for Publisher the KonicaMinolta with Banner Paper it shows the page size as 47.24 x 11.693 but the sheet size as 8.5 x 11. I am not allowed to set anything in settings on the page setup or print setup that eliminates the tiling shown in the screen.     - Not printing to scale. The dimensions on my printed page are different to those on screen. I have made up a simple page with lines and boxes that are different dimensions and different distances apart and none of the measurement are correct on the printed page. The most they are out are 10mm i cant see how this could be a margin or page size issue because everything is in the middle of the page. I have had a graphics designer tell me to stop using publisher because he has known about this issue for a while. Any truth to this?     - Microsoft Office Publisher 2007 encountered an error during setup Hi, I am trying to install Office Publisher 2007 on my Vista machine which already has Office Standard 2007 installed on it. Every time I try and install Publisher, I get an error. I insert the disk, run the project setup file, enter my key, accept the EULA and then it gets to the "Installing Microsoft Publisher 2007" screen. The progress bar starts to fill and then I get the error screen displaying: "Microsoft Office Publisher 2007 encountered an error during setup" This happens every time I try and install it. There is no option to uninstall Publisher from add/remove programs. I have also used the windows install cleanup tool to no avail. Several months ago, I did signup for the "trial" version from the MS site, but it never worked either and I can't see where to go to try to "delete" or uninstall it. The techie guy at Best Buy assured me this $375 spend was well worth the money and that it would absolutely work with Vista - was he lying to me? I really need to get Publisher installed and it's killing me that I spent that much monety and can't use the dang thing! Thanks in advance!     - Publisher 2007 & memory error My user's workstation has a 3Ghz processor and 2GB of memory, yet she is constantly getting an error there is not enough memory to save her file. She does not have an excessive number of other programs running at the same time, so my question is (I have yet to find the answer on MS's website) - what is the recommended hardware config for a power Publisher user? and Has anyone else seen this type of issue and if so, did you get it resolved? Absolutely agree with you re making changes after the fact - very tricky for a dopey publisher user like me. I think I have to do it that way though, as I am trying to make six different versions of the same 150 page document (with no linked text boxes) in different fonts (in Australia, we have a different font for each state for kids to learn to write with, and I am trying(!!!) to change the activity book I have written into each of the different fonts). So just to clarify, the best way to try and do this would be to go: Format Styles and Formatiing Change the normal style into the first font I want to replace with and then you have to go and click your cursor in every text box to change to the new font style. When I have tried this though, it changes the font size to whatever is set in the format scheme that you have just set. Whilst I want the document I have written to be in the same font throughout, it does have many different font sizes. But, if you choose font schemes, and select a font scheme to apply, it will change the font but not the sizes. Does that mean that I can't create something like the built-in font schemes (that will change the font throughout a document but not change the sizes that you have selected), and the only option is to do it the other way (which results in font size changes). Does the new version of publisher allow you to "create a font scheme)?     - printing problems I recently downloaded a trial version of Microsoft Publisher to see if I would be able to use it in my office to create templates. I created several templates that I liked but then was unable to print the trial version. Can trial publications be printed? If I click on the Print, Print Preview, Page Setup, or convert to PDF buttons, I get the message "To print or preview a publication, at least one printer must be installed on the system". I print from this computer every day from Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other programs without a problem. How do I install a printer that Publisher can recognize? Thank you. Two cards to a page, and after printing, I'd cut in half and = fold over. Using cardstock. I hadn't printed cards for months, and last night tried to (either = from my files or set up new) and even though I get it set up the way I = want in Publisher (using the Page Set Up, top fold card 5.5 X4.25 = quarter page fold, it shows it, 2 to a page like I want) when I click on = PRINT (or Print setup/preview, etc) it says "one per page". And this is = how it prints.=20 When I change the size and get it for "quarter fold card" it still = shows it as one per page- 4 quarters (like using regular printer paper = and folding the card so the paper is double). I've tried using 4 pages = in the set up (like 1 and 4 for front and back, and 2 and 3 for the = inside. I have duplex printing, at one time it would print 1 and 4 then = bring the paper in and print the other side (inside). Or, I could put = the paper in again, on the other side for this.     - Activation For Trial Version Problems I have downloaded the trial version of Publisher 2007 and installed it. When I try to Activate it I get a message saying "A communication error has occured. Please try again." It appears that the problem is that it won't connect over the Internet yet I have Internet connection available and I am online. I also noticed when I tried to install Windows OneCare Live I got an error message saying there was a Network Connection problem. I have did everything possible and this still won't activate.     - Color/Grayscale Toggle Button Stuck When I am in 'print preview' in Publisher 2007, the color/grayscale button reacts like a toggle switch. However, the toggle switch/button is engaged to view in grayscale mode and will not disengage to view in color. When I press the toggle switch/button to disengage (even though it won't), and move the mouse to the document, I see the magnifiying glass, zoom in/out.     - using bullets Just trying to find out if I can or cannot do this in Publisher. There are only a few bullet characters available in publisher and I would like to have access to more. In word you simply got to format select bullets and then use the import button to add an unlimited number of bullets. It appears that you cannot do this with Publisher.     - Slow import of pictures When I import pictures while connected to my office network, it is really slow. When I go to my head office which is a few hundred miles away (and where all of the main servers are located), the import is almost instant. Likewise when I disconnect from any network, the import is instant. Why should it make a difference where i am located, especially as all i am doing is importing a picture from my desktop in each instance?     - Another curvy question.... I've now discovered that I can get some cort of curvy linear arrows by using the Autoshape connectors, and this wouldn't be a problem apart from the fact that the curved connecting arrows default to an 'S' shaped curve, whereas I only want a simple arc. By manipulating the yellow adjustment handle I still don't seem to be able to get a proper arc shape - it just moves the unwanted bend in the curve. Any suggestions?     - Problem Printing page margin borders with Publisher 2003? I use Pub 2003, (1) 11x17 page for a 2 page layout newsletter. I have 2 computer for this, one for back-up. When I print from computer one it prints fine, if I use computer 2 it prints the margin borders around the very edge of the page. How do I get to not print that border?     - Paste Special drops cells from Word and Excell Our church is using Publisher 2003 to do our bulletin and newsletter. When we try and use Paste Special to paste the calendar from Word 2003, it drops the last row of cells bottom of calendar (they do not show up in Publisher). If we go back to Word 2003, new document, and paste, everything is there. The same thing happens when we try to Paste Special from Excel 2003. It drops the last column of the Excel sheet. Any suggestions on how to fix this? The calendar and Excel sheet are put together by another individual ( not the secretary) and emailed to the church office. The secretary also says that sometimes it will paste the whole clipboard. I do not have specifics on when this happens. I know the problem this time is with the August calendar which has 6 rows.     - Tool Bar default I like to have my align center, middle, left and right up in my tool bar as i use them frequently. I get rid of stuff I don't use to make the room. How do I set that as default? I think I am doing it but when I open a new document after a shutdown, it goes away. When I try to print all 8 pages, a page at a time on letter-size paper, I get
one blank page "printed" with nothing on it. Any helpw ould be greatly
appreciated.

Is your printer driver current? What happens when you print just one page at a
time. Is your publication 8 single pages or is your setup a booklet and you are
printing to tabloid stock?

If your setup is a booklet and you print the current page, do you get a yes/no
query? If you click yes, you will get only the current page, if you click no you
will get both pages, i.e. page 2 and page 7.
