Lines of text move when viewed in print preview and printed
I am inserting pictures with-in paragraphs of text. I
have tried formating as both exact and in-line, using
top/bottom. The text moves up 1-2 lines when printed or
viewed in print preview. This change in text lines also
happens when view is changed from 50% to 100%.
I am working with two column text and the pictures are
inserted into each column.

Banner Problems
NOTE: This is the first time I have ever been to this newsgroup.
This is the first time I have tried to print a banner. It is 8.5" high x 5'
long. Two problems; #1: no matter what I do, I cannot get a colored
background to print. #2: I cannot get the individual tiles to line up
correctly. They either leave gaps in between tiles, or they duplicate too
much between tiles. I just want to trim the non-image parts on each end
with a paper cutter, and have the text and images line up. Any help
appreciated.

I have Publisher 2000 and am taking a class where the

available or do I have to buy a new program? I spent a

Publisher 2002 and PDF (color management)
I have a newsletter designed in Publisher 2002 in RGB (a Publisher

believe this might be a publisher problem. Then again, I could be
wrong... Would appreciate any insight. THANKS Tag: Pasting from clipboard, Pub2000 & WinXP Tag: 103264

Unable to reload Publisher 2000
Hello -
Having a bit of a problem -
Recently did a dos install of windows 98SE - overlaying exiting installation
of Windows 98.
Because this was processed as a new install, rather than an update - I
needed to reload all of my applications to have them registered properly in
the registry.
All reinstallation went OK = with the exception of Publihser 2000.
When I start the installation, I get a message to the effect:
"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package
exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to
verity that this is a valid Windows Instller patch package".
Appreciate any thoughts as to the specific cause and solution to my
problem...

Submit Button on Publisher-Produced Website

Publisher shuts down when loading a wizard
Hi there
Could anyone help me with the following problem? When I open Publisher and
try and use a wizard, the wizard tries to load up a selected template then
halts with an out of memory error message. The program then defaults to a
blank page. I can work with it from here but cannot use the wizard. Just
before going to a blank page I get an out of memory error message.
The program used to work fine but stopped quite recently. I put this down
to having a virus on the system so reformatted and reinstalled all programs.
I also had this problem a few years ago when I got the computer but was
given a patch or work around to correct which I unfortunately now have no
recollection of how to do.
The system affected has the following:
Pentium 2 300Mhz
64Mb SDRAM
6Gb Hard Drive
32x CD ROM
4Mb S3 Trio Graphics
Windows 98SSE
Office 97 Small Business Edition with Publisher 98
Upgraded to Office Professional 97
(I suspect that this mixture of programs is responsible for my problem but
have no idea how to fix).

auto updates
Hi. When I added the media disks for Publisher, and also installed
PictureIt, Windows insisted on installing IE6 (previously using 5.5).
Now, every so often, my firewall blocks Microsoft from running Microsoft

through IE and OE but can't find the settings to turn this off. No
search matches 'update'.
Can someone here help or should I go to the IE forum? Thanks!

MS Publisher - Problems with Fitting to Page
If I create an A4 page in Publisher but then deside that
I wanted to actually print it on A5 paper, the pictures
and text boxes do not automatically resize when I
change "Page Setup" from the file menu.
MS Word does this automatically - it seems long winded to
have to manually change the size of each text and picture
frame to make it fit.

Breaking a forward link
In Publisher 2002 I have a long doc with several logical sections. Rather
than having the text flow through the entire doc I'd like to break the link
between each section. That way a change in an early section won't change the
text flow in later sections.
My problem is that when I choose Break Forward Link all text is removed from
the text boxes that follow. Instead of staying where it was, the following
pages of text all overflow into the text box where I broke the link.
How can I break the link while leaving the following pages of text
undisturbed?
Thanks.

linked pages not working properly in mspub2000 for windows
Hi,
On a pc, I created a 31 page document possibly done in
Pub.98 that functioned perfectly.
Now, while trying to edit/revise that document on a new
computer in Pub 2000, finding that when I add
new/additional text, instead of the text linking to the
next page, it links to a page at the end of the document.
For example, I am typing on page 20 and instead of the text
continuing onto page 21, it jumps to the end of the
document (page 31)
I have tried to create links between pg 21 & 22, but can't
create a link- I get a message that there is 'text'. It
will only link to a blank page, but I need it to be
continuous text.
How can I have all my pages from page 1 to page 31 linked
in sequence. Is there anyway I can do that at this time?
ps - tried to use 'autoflow' but that did not help with
this problem.
Appreciate any help. Not having any luck with Help menu on
program.
