Inserting and Resizing An Oversized Excel Worksheet

I'm attempting to add information from an Excel worksheet on to a page of a
newsletter I'm working on in Publisher 2003, but I'm running into a problem.
The newsletter page's dimensions are 8 1/2" x 11", but at full size, the
Excel worksheet is larger than these dimensions. I can adjust the print
settings on the worksheet in Excel to allow me to print the worksheet on a
single 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper, but I can't adjust the size of the
worksheet as an object in Publisher so that all of the contens of the
worksheet can be seen.

When I insert the Excel worksheet into Publisher as an object and adjust the
size of the worksheet using the "Size" tab in the "Format Object" window,
only a portion of the worksheet can be seen. I can adjust the size of the
object by clicking and dragging the sides and corners of the object, but it
doesn't make any more or any less of the worksheet visible. When I edit the
Excel worksheet object, I can scroll and see the entire worksheet, but I
can't adjust the size of the worksheet. Making the worksheet's cells and
their content smaller so that the total worksheet size less than 8 1/2 X 11"
won't work either, because the text in the cells is already at 8 pt and can't
be made any smaller.

Is it possible to insert the Excel worksheet and adjust the size so that the
contents of the entire worksheet are visible on the page in Publisher? If so,
how can it be done? Thanks in advance.

Open a new instance of Publisher, page setup, landscape, Insert, Object, from
file, browse to your worksheet.

Once on your page, copy the sheet, paste special as a .wmf. This image can be
resized and cropped. Adjust your worksheet until it will fit on your portrait
letter size stock. You can copy/paste into your primary document.

How many cell columns do you have? You can also create a table in Publisher and
copy/paste the information from Excel into Publisher.

This is not a great way of doing things, but it will work.
