When creating a leaflet is it possible to print faint guidelines to make
folding it easier and accurate?

You could draw a short line at the bottom and top, give it light weight and
color it gray.

Here's how it can be done in Publisher 2000; it may be the same for your
version.

From the left Tool bar select the line tool.
Draw your line. (You may want to use Tools, Snap to Ruler marks for
placement accuracy)
Selecting the line with your mouse, Format, Line/Boarder styles, More styles
(Select Line thickness, Dashed if wanted and now Color
Lighten to suit.

When I was doing a monthly newsletter I made two grey rectangles, one on the
left and one on the right edges of the paper located for the fold and as a
reserved spot for glue tape. Also one panel was for the addressing.

The lighter the grey, less ink used, an econo-"miser" operation. <G>
