Some help needed for a novice. The project I am trying to manage will run
over a period of about 15 months starting on 01/12/04 - it will finish
February 2006. However, a new cycle will start on 01/12/05, and I want to
copy all of the details into a new schedule starting at that time. I want to
keep all the tasks, durations, notes, etc, but rescheduled according to the
new calendar. I will then edit the schedule to meet the requirements of the
next cycle.

So, I want to roll the project forward to start on a new date whilst keeping
all the details intact.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Jim,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Make a copy of the project via File/Save As... . In the copy delete
everything you don't want. Then, from the Analysis toolbar, click Adjust
Dates, and enter your new start date. Tidy up.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hello Jim,

One way to do that among several others...
Create a summary task which includes all the first project.
Copy this summary row : click its #ID and Edit/Copy
Paste where you want : in the same project or in a new one.
Hope this helps,

Gérard Ducouret
