I get how to set up non working days (ie. weekends and holidays)......if I
want to keep track of "rain days" lost in the construction indusrty as a
seperate colour from the standard weekend grey outs.....is there a way?

Hi ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

There is an either/or method. Create a new calendar making only your rain
days non-working. Then, in the Gantt Chart view, Format/Timescale, select
non-working times and select your rain day calendar - give it a colour and
shading. However, the weekends will not be greyed out, unless you make those
non working as well, in which case they will adopt the same colouring.
There's no other practical way of doing this.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hi,

Another alternative to Mike's suggestion. Since rainy days are often needed
to be tracked for EOT claims, then how about setting the new calendar to show
all days as non working, then when you have rainy days set those days to
working. Allocate this calendar to a task called say "Delay due to rain" and
link that up to the affect task(s). That way you have a record of days lost
through rain, the impact of those days on the schedule, and hence you now
have good records for your EOT claim.

Hope this helps
