I'm a little embarrassed to admit it but I'm stumped on this one. I"m
trying to set a couple custom fields. I choose Text1 and set the formula
to be: [Name]. I also choose Number1 to be a custom field and set the
formula to be: 15. Nothing complex just two simple custom fields that
should put the task Name in Text1 and the constant "15" in Number1.
However, in both cases all I get in the custom fields is "#ERROR". I
have used cutom fields before and they worked fine. Obviously something
is amiss but I can't figure out what. Any ideas?

I'm using Project 2000 SR-1.

You didn't by any chance put an = sign in the box?
Another possibility is that automatic calculation is turned off Hit the F9
key and if it fixes it, then that is your problem. Go to tools menu /
options /calculation tab and set it for automatic.

Jack,
Thanks, I had calculation set for manual. I could have sworn that I
tried hitting F9 during my frustrating attempts to make it work, but I
guess I didn't.

You are welcome.
Good to hear it was something simple.
