I made a master project by inserting 134 small projects. When I change data
on the master project line it will not transfer down to the sub project.. I
can go the other way but it makes several hrs more work to updat the sub
projects.

big guy,
Did you create a dynamic consolidation (the default) or a static
consolidation? Only the former creates a dynamic link between master and
subprojects. Also, do you have calculation (Tools/Options/Calculation
tab) set for automatic?

FInally, the changes to the subprojects will only be "kept" if you save
when you close the master.

By the way, what version of Project are you using?
