I am working with master project and sub project.
The problem is, how do I set up external dependencies in Project?
It works by set up in gantt chart view. But,is there another way to do it
more effectively and efficiently?

Hello,
I don't see what you mean by "It works by set up in gantt chart view". But I
can tell you how I do that :
Create a window with the 2 or more project files.
Window / New window
Select the predecessor
Press the Ctrl key
Select the successor
Click the Link Tasks button in the tool bar (small chain)
Save each elementary project

Hope this helps,

Gérard Ducouret

External links (i.e., predecessors/successors) to tasks can be entered
similar to internal ones by entering the path and Task Id in the form:

"<URL or path to folder>\<Project>.mpp \<Task Id>" in the Predecessor or
Successor field, either in the Gantt view Entry table or in the Task
Information dialogue window. Normally, everyone is accustomed to only
entering the Task Id, and you can also ommit the URL or path (e.g.,
"<Project>.mpp \<Task Id>") if the project file to be linked to is saved in
the same folder as the current active project.
