    - Undo project level enterprise custom field changes Hi, In Project 2007, I have defined a number of project level enterprise fields, used to track things like the customer and project status. Some of these have lookup tables, some are free text. Users change the value of these fields via the Project Information Form. If the user changes a free text field and presses OK, they get an entry under the Edit menu "Undo Project Information". However, if they change a field that has a lookup table, no such undo option is created. If they change a free text field and a lookup table field, and press "Undo Project Information", the free text field is undone, but the lookup table field change is not. Is this a known bug?     - Customized Fields in Enterprize Global I was using one of my projects to try out a Custom Field to make sure it was working correctly. Once that was done I checked out my Enterprise Global, then went back to the local project and opened the Organizer to copy the Field into the Ent. Global. I got an error message that said, "Only Enterprise Fields are customized and stored in the ent. global. Use Import Custom Field or Import Outline Code to import definitions into the ent. global." Then I tried this by just checking out the ent. global and importing the formula from the custom field in the local project but got another error message..."The formula cannot be saved because it refers to a non-enterprise custom field." Then I tried to just check out the Ent. Global an create the Custom Field directly instead of copying it. The Tools-->Customize-->Fields.. was grayed out not allowing me to even make a Custom Field in the Enterprise Global.     - Default Column Width I have a file (an .mpp file and all of its successors) where the Predecessor and Successor columns are always set to a width of 128 when the file opens, and I need to resest them to something that allows me to see other columns. I have tried several methods of setting and saving the width of these two columns, but haven't found the correct combination yet. Other files are not effected. Suggestions?     - WBS numbering error I'm working a schedule where I've included WBS numbering. For some reason the last 54 tasks out of 1312 are one level off (one level lower).     - Actuals in the projectfile not equal to the actuals in the timeshe Hi, We are using project server 2003 with SP2a running on windows server 2003. Last week we found out that in all most all plans (70 in all and 2 admin projects) other than some 7 project plans the actuals in the projectfile and the actuals in the timesheet of the employees are not matching. In few cases the timesheet hours are more and in others it is vice versa. We are using project server for project planning for almost 3 years now and we have found out mismatch of this proportion only now. There is no specific pattern of mismatch either related to admin projects only or in specific projects. It is there in all most all project plans. Could someone please throw some light on how this could have happened? The varied reasons and how this can be eliminated in the existing system or if not possible to eliminate in the existing system suggest few good practices so that this situation will not arise in the future?     - Using % Physical Complete and Have Summary Progress Hello - I want to use the Physical % Complete column to calculate EVM because it is a better gauge of task completion. It is also the only field that I've found that doesn't automatically calculate the actual cost based on time. I enter resource hours on a daily basis to track actual costs.     - Material Resource Cost I am trying to include a material resouce that adds a cost of $0.82 per hour of work to all work resources on my project. I have defined a material resource with a rate of $0.82 and applied it to all tasks with units 1/h. This calculates the cost for this material based on the project duration - I need it to get it to calculate based on worked hours.     - URGENT! - Setting Overnight Working Hours MSP 2002 SP-1: I'm managing a project in US EST time zone with resources in India, one of which works 9pm EST the day before thru 6am EST. I'm trying to adjust the resource's calendar to reflect his working hours and the app is not letting me. Hello,

You can place a deadline on the final milestone in the project. To
place a deadline double click on the task to show the task information
dialog box. Click the Advanced tab and enter or select a date in the
Deadline area. Click OK to close the dialog box. The deadline
indicator (green outlined arrow) will appear in the Gantt chart. If the
task slips past the deadline, an indicator will appear in the indicator
column.
