    - Assigning Administrative Tasks I have setup an administrative project to track sick, vacation time etc. I have added the resources to each task that I as a manager need to approve and track. I know want to book time for each resource for vacation, etc that has already been approved until the end of the year. I do not wish to have my resources re-enter it themselves.     - Project tasks with no apparent dependencies I am working on establishing a schedule for an audit engagement. The issue i have is with the existence of high level tasks that have no dependencies but sub-tasks within those high level tasks that do have dependencies within themselves. For example lets take a testing cash task (summary task) and a testing inventory task (Summary Task). These tasks have absolutely no relationship. They have sub-tasks, such as peform testing, manager review, addressing review notes . These sub-task have a FS dependency with each other within the applicable summary task but the high level task of testing cash has no dependency with testing inventory. They can occurr simultaenously. What if the same resource is assigned to complete the perform testing sub-task within the two summary tasks with no dependencies? I would like the resource to work 100% on one of these tasks at a time until completion. These tasks do have different priorities. For example i would like the resource to work on testing inventory first and than on cash. How can i achieve that without creating any dependencies? Also in our field a testing task is rarely completed without any interruptions. SO if my resource is working on inventory and comes across any delays such as client delays, i would like the resource to start working on cash until they can start again on inventory. How can i achieve this kind of flexibility so that i can change the baseline schedule for appropriate comparison with actual work and its impact on project finish date. Also do i have to enter the subtasks of manager review and addressing review notes for every summary task.     - Project '03 Hanging Issue When I start up Project '03, the application goes to a hanging hourglass. When trying to open a Project file, I get the message "The command is not available in this situation. A command in macro may not be available for this particular view or for the item selected." The only option is to click "OK". I get the same message when trying to open any other menu. I have uninstalled Project Standard and reinstalled Project Standard. The results are the same.     - Best resource assignment This may be simple, but I've been out of it for awhile, so please help: I have a number of tasks with estabilshed durations for different numbers of resources. I also have my tasks listed in order of priority. I'd like MSP to auto assign my resources based on my established priority, durations and resource requirements, and link the appropriate tasks.     - Need help defining start dates Hi, I'm trying to come up with a project template. In the project, I want tasks to be completed within a certain timeframe after a previous task has been completed. For example, account exec makes a phone call. I want an internal meeting to take place within 2 business days from that call. How do I define this? Do I just pick an arbitrary start date for the project then set the phone call task and define the meeting task to start 2 days from the completion of phone call task? I just don't want these dates to be set in stone as this will only be a template. What I'm more interested in is start and completion deadlines i.e. Account Exec must make phone call within 24 hours of assignment. Internal meeting must take place within 2 business days from phone call made. In our case, we have a lot of tasks that don't take a lot of time but they need to be executed in a timely fashion.     - Non checked out project shows checked out MS Project Pro 2003. I have a project that someone checked out, modified, and checked back in. After they checked it back in, it still shows that it is checked out to them. In Project Web Access I went to Admin --> Manage Enterprise Features --> Check In Enterprise Projects where usually you would select the project and check it in, but it shows that there are no projects checked out. One solution that I tried was to create a new version of the project and just copy the information over, which works but when I go to delete the old version is states that it cannot delete a checked out project. Does anyone know of a work around for this. Either 1) how to check the project in or 2) how to delete a file that is currently checked out. thanks in advance.     - Printing reports with a date range Hi, I know there are similar postings out there, but none of the suggestions are working for me. I have a project that spans a number of months, say June 05 to March 06. I want to print a report (Resource Usage), I want to show 5 weeks when I print it, but I only want to show those 5 weeks and not all of the project dates (which is creating 100s of pages of report).     - Resource Usage View Project 2003 Server Master Project Plan I am trying to build a custom resource usage view where I have a master project that has links to individual project plans that are maintained by the project managers for those projects. This provides immediate updates to the master project plan as published by the project managers. Building the master plan with links to the individual project plans is easy to do. I am trying to build a custom view to look at all the enterprise resources across all the projects and then to be able to look at each resource and to look at their hours and percent allocation across each project. I also would like to have the ability to expand and collapse each project listed under each resource to see the specific tasks that the individual is assigned for that project. I want to see the hours and percent allocation for each of the task if I expand the project and collapse the tasks to the project level (and of course collapse the hours/percent allocation). So I want to dynamically take my master plan and look at the resources, the projects that the resources are assigned to, their hours and percentage allocation across each project and drill down to the task level for each project for each resource and then to drill up as required to higher levels. On our terminal server i can log into PWA and simply working. I'm an
administrator of this server.
But when i try to log under user's account (whithout administrator
permissions on computer) error about install is appearing. I think it's
happen becouse user no permissions to install add-on. But add-on is currently
installed on computer...
How to force PWA workin under user permissions?
