I am using a custom field (number 1) in a project and wish to show this in an
extracted excel sheet. The custom field does not appear in "available fields"
in the "analyze timescaled data" extract wizard. How can I add this?

Thanks for the help!

John

Hi John Boy,

I don't believe custom fields are timescaled and therefore are not
available in the analyze timescaled data wizard. You should be able to
extract the data through a export to Excel through File > Save As.

The other option is to copy and paste both sides of the Resource Usage
or Task Usage view.

See FAQ #10 "Exporting to Excel" at
http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm
for additional information.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi JulieS appreciate the reply and can see where you are comming from and
have tried it out. Because the wizard is so easy to use we will proabably
"work round" issue by (miss)using one of the timescaled fields e.g. fixed
cost. Like all work rounds they can come round and bite you later!

Thanks
