Jim,
I think you are right about the inserted project idea. However there is
an easier way to either create a static master from the onset or convert
a dynamic master to a static master than to use copy & paste. In the
former, select the insertion point summary line and go to Project/Task
Information/Advanced tab. Uncheck the "link to project" box and hit
"OK". If the goal is to create a new static master, before hitting the
"insert" button on the Insert Project window, uncheck the "link to
project" option in the lower right hand corner.
