Hello
I have a corrupt project 2007 file. It seemed to work just fine for sometime
and all of a sudden now i get the following error message when trying to open
the file.

"The operation cannot be completed because the source file contains invalid
project data or the total number of rows would exceed the limit of 1,048,000
rows in a project.

Validate the data in the source file, insert fewer rows, delete some rows,
or consider dividing your project into subprojects to provide more space for
tasks and resources"

When i click on ok - i am asked to start it read only but still Project
launches a blank file. Any advice would be great on how i can recover my
files please

Thank you

Hello Ipek,

First I suggest installing SP-1 if you have not already.

Then try method 4 from FAQ 43 at http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm. If
you cannot open the file, methods 1,2, and 3 are not available. Method
2 also only works with versions 2003 and earlier.

Neither are a guarantee of course.

You may need to resort to a backup copy of the file.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
