I have two subtasks that starts on 07/11/05 if i put a predessesor on the
second task it should update the start and end dates but it just stays the
same,please help.

Hi,

Does the second task have an actual start date or is calculation on manual?
If either, then it can't move. Set % Complete to 0% and test calculation by
pressing f9 to calculate.

Try Tools/Options.../Calculation tab and set calculation to Automatic.
