Is there a way to prevent hours from being submitted to a project plan
once it is completed? Can this be done without archiving?

Are you using Project Server 2002 or 2003?

Kim --

Do the following:

1. Open the project and click Tools - Build Team from Enterprise
2. Set the Booking Type value for each team member to Proposed
3. Save the project and then republish the assignments using Collaborate -
Publish - Republish Assignments

These steps will remove the assignments for this project from each team
member's timesheet in PWA, and will prevent them from entering time against
the project. Hope this helps.

Dale, thank you for your help. Just one quick question - would that
also prevent the resources from adding themselves to tasks through the
project server web access? what about other resources (that weren't on
the team when we changed the settings)?

Sorry, one more question: will it change anything to the previous
actual hours that have been entered?

Kim

I have been playing with this option since I first read about it on this
post... From what I've observered, it will NOT alter any actuals already
entered, and my resources could NOT add themselves to a task anymore. Hope
this helps!!
