We have a resouce pool with a couple hundred resources that is used by 30-40
relatively small projects (up to 200 lines or so). A given project may use
30 or 40 resources (not all 200). The resource pool is currently about 25M.
If I Save As under another name and then kill all of the links to projects,
the size remains the same (actually, it dropped by 2K - big deal!).

Do anyone know why the file is so big and how, if possible, to get it to a
more realistic size.

Hi Will,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :-)

If you suspect a corrupt file, you could try the suggestions in FAQ Item:
43. File Bloat? - Might be Corruption.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address:http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :-)
