I'm trying to calculate EV in a WBS project plan that I've already
completed.
Do I have to save my baseline in order for the EVM table to
calculate???
I've bought 3 books and no where does it give you a step by step
breakdown of how to actually make the EV table work.

Can someone offer a step by step take on how I should approach this or
a website or publication in which I can get a better understanding.

Use this link http://www.esi-intl.com/public/webseminar/20060413evm.asp and
click on the "View Archive" button on right side.

This may ask you to install Microsoft Live application and may be to create
a new account etc.

Hope this helps. If you need more info please post

Thank you, that was informative, but I'm looking for info as to how to
feed MS Project information necessary to create a EVM table i.e. -
resouces, budget, etc.

Hi srs67,

In order to generate earned value data in Project you will need:
Tasks
Resources with Standard Rates and Overtime Rates (if you intend to
assign OT)
Resources assigned to the Tasks
Baseline
Tracking Data (Actual Work, Remaining Work, etc)

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Julie
