Hi,

I am using MS-Project 2000.

I want to be able to view the Gannt with the Task information such
as name, start, end, predecessor in the top half of the screen and the
Gantt Chart in the lower half of the screen.

I can do the following:

1. Split the viewable area horizontally by dragging up the the little
"blob" below the task bar arrow from the bottom right hand corner.

2. By default I see resource information in the new lower viewable
area.

3. I click in the new lower area then select "View:Gantt" chart from
the menu.

4. Now I see a copy of the top half i.e. text on the left and Gantt
Chart on the right

5. If I drag the vertical bar to the left or right I can show either
the whole of the text or the whole of the Gantt chart in both screens
simultaneously. I cannot set it up so I see ONLY the Text at the top
and ONLY the Gantt chart at the bottom.

Is such a divided display possible?

Thanks

Clive

Hi,

Yes. With the top half active select View, More Views and scroll down the
list and select Task Sheet (you can edit it if you like and click show in
menu).

In the lower half select the Gantt Chart and drag the vertical divide to the
left.

Hi Clive,

To add to Rod's post. The Gantt chart you will see in the bottom pane will
only show the bar for the selected task. In a combination view (horizontal
split) the bottom pane data reflects what is selected in the top pane. If
you select all tasks in the top pane, you will see all the Gantt bars in the
bottom.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
