Get an error when I tries to public information to MS project 2002 server
1 I made a new project by MS project standard 2002.
2 When I tries to publish (Collaborate > Publish All
information) in MS Project standard 2002, I gets an error
: You try to public a nonenterprise project to MS project server.
Administrator deny the nonenterprise project to project server.
3 I can log in MS project server by web,but nothing in web pages.
My question is how can I publish all information to project server.
I would really appreciate if someone could give me some hints what else
to try.

How to export reports to Word
(sorry if this is an FAQ...I'm a newbie)
I've got my project plan in MS Project 2003, and am
generating various reports.
I can print the reports, but can't "save" them as either
word/excel docs (as appropriate).
Is there some better way of doing this? Although I'm
managing tasks in the .mpp, the project status reports,
etc... are all word documents, and I need to be able to
port data between the 2 apps.
Any help is appreciated.

Install of PS2003 on Sharepoint Portal 2003
I have an instance of Sharepoint Portal 2003 and want to

EPM Web project access
I developed a new category to be used by specific internal
managers to manage a specific pool of resources within the
enterprise resource pool. In the new category I want to
allow these internal managers to view only the projects
that their specific resources are assigned to.
I selected all four check-boxes under the project section
of the category, including the one that allows the user to
view all projects assigned to a resource they manage, but
it does not seem to allow the internal managers access to
the projects that their resources (specified pool)are
assigned to.
The question is: is there any way to indicate that a user
manages a resource other than publishing a project where
the resource is assigned?
Is there any other way I could restrict the projects that
these internal managers can view? (other than selecting
the specific projects) Tag: Check out this security update from MS Tag: 57532
Negative Lag Link to Task STart
Hi,
I have the following problem, which I have not been able to
solve via project help.
I have a milestone, call it MA, followed by a Task, call it
TA. TA is linked to MA with a finish to start link with a
+20 lag. I then have a second milestone, MB, which is a
delivery that needs to occur 4 days before TB can start. I
can't figure out how to link MB to task A to allow MB to
move automatically due to changes in MA.
I could achieve the same effect by making MB follow a
finish to start link from MA with a lag of +16 days. But
the problem with this is that if I want to change the lag
between MA and TA, I also then have to remeber to change
the lag from MA to MB. If I can have a link with negative
lag between TA and MA then things will work out OK.
I have tried using a start to finish link between TA and
MB, but project complained that the link would violate a
constraint, i.e. it thinks MB is constrined somehow. I have
no constraints entered.

2003BETA: Templates and documents
Hi.
I want to create a project template to be used in Project Server 2003,
including document templates that must be used for some tasks.
I then want to create a new project using this template.
So far I've managed to create the template and save it to Project Server.
However, I've not been able to add documents to the template nor create a
new project based on that template (I just don't know how to locate the
template). Tag: Check out this security update from MS Tag: 57529
Jump to Preds/Successors
Your competition (not much to worry about....) has a
feature that allows one to 'jump' from a task forwards or
backwards to all of its predecessors or successors in the
order of their succession. How about creating a
subroutine that will, when run, allow the user to 'jump'
to a task's predecessors/successors, in the order of
their ID #'s(MSP2000)?

Apply default working hours retrospectively
Hi,
I have made a project plan with N resources each working
for 7 hours a day (an oversight ofcourse!). I would like
to retrospectively update the working hours of all
resources for all days to 8 hours per day?
What is the best way to do this without having to
recreate the plan / resources?
Thanks in advance for the reply.

multiple projects - interdependency, view as one
Is it at all possible to link multiple projects together
into some meaningful "master project list"? I need to
have the ability to see how each project is dependent on
another, and how tasks within one project might affect
tasks in a separate project. Tag: Check out this security update from MS Tag: 57509
