Hi Jennifer
when assigning resources one of the things that Project does is reschedule
the work when the resource is available to do it. Therefore a task that
might be scheduled on March 1 may be shifted to March 8 if the resource is
on holidays for the week. To see resource holidays, double click on the
resource in the resource sheet, choose the working time tab and look for
holidays.
other factors which could come into play are - conflicts between the
resource's working time calendar and the project's calendar - ie your
project calendar is a 24 hr one, but all resources have the standard
calendar assigned (check the base calendar column in the resource sheet).
these are just two ideas off the top of my head - there's probably other
possible options - oh, another option is that automatic levelling has been
turned on - tools / level resources or resource levelling option (depending
on your version) ... ensure that it is set to manual not automatic.
hope this helps
Cheers
