Hi Stacy,
To your second question, I'm afraid the answer is no. The calendar view in
Project is very limited as far as what changes you can make to tasks as far
as color options. The formatting options for bar colors can only be applied
to All, Noncritical, Critical, Milestone, Summary, Project Summary, Market,
Highlighted, or External tasks. Unfortunately, you cannot format individual
bars like you can in the Gantt chart.
You could make the text from the custom field show within the bar, but that
is about it. To change the text within the bar, choose Format >Bar Styles
and in the Text area at the bottom of the dialog box, select the custom field
you entered the drop-down list in.
As far as the problem with the drop - down, could you give us some more
information about what type of field and what you did to create the value
list and perhaps we can assist.
