Assining resources

Good day,

I have to insert many diferent resources in one task. His there a way to
assign resources to some kind of "family". So that if i insert the "family",
the resources are inserted automaticly. tanks

Hi Nuno,

No, I'm afraid not. A resource is defined as a specific person (or group of
people) by the max. units field. If I have a resource "Bob" and his max.
units is 100%, the implication to Project is that Bob is a single resource
and can create 1 hour of work for every 1 hour of duration that passes in the
task.

You can create a resource that represent several people by setting the max.
units greater than 100%. For example, if there are 3 Business Analysts
working on the project, I could create a resource named Business Analysts
with a max. units of 300%. I could then assign 200% of the Business Analysts
to a task, meaning that I have assigned two of the three BAs to the task.

But if Bob was also a business analyst assigning 100% of the Business
Analysts resource would not imply it is Bob. To Project, it just implies
that it is one of the 3 total BAs I have in my project.
