    - PowerPoint 2003 AddIns does not work in PowerPoint 2007 Hi, I have a simple AddIns for PowerPoint that I wrote and it works fine on version 2003. However, when trying to run it on 2007 it does not work as expected. In order to debug the problem, I removed all the non-relevant code and ended up with a simple AddIns that open a form with two buttons "OK","Cancel". Once the user press "OK" it creates a rectangular shape on the current slide and close the form. As part of the code, this macro attaches a tag to the rectangular so that when the user double-clicks on this shape it reopen the form, but this time the buttons are "Work","Cancel". In both 2003, 2007 the first part works fine and the new rectangular is added to the slide. However, in 2007 the second part does not work. Double-clicking the rectangular brings the picture toolbar and does not open the form as expected. In 2003 it works find.     - Photos don't appear on some computers Hi, I have helped create some PPTs for my company. We show these PPTs on different computers depending on the venue, using whatever laptop is available. Sometimes the PPT is e-mailed, sometimes it is just shown from a jump drive. The PPTs were created in 2000 and 2003, but we've had a problem with one particular photo not showing up on some computers. Now it's happening with another photo. We can't figure out the problem because we don't always know what version of PPT or what version of Windows the computer has. Is this a problem with tranferring the PPT from one computer to another? All the photos and graphics are inserted the proper way (not copied and pasted) and we only have had a problem with two of them. By the way, I've read that sometimes a red X will appear instead of the photo. This is not happening. What happens is that the photo frame is just dark gray inside it. Thanks.     - How do I keep the language from changing in my Notes section? Not sure what's going on but as I type in the Notes section, the language changes from English to Australian English and on some slides to Czech. You notice this as you type and incorrect symbols display in the Notes section or word that should be correctly spelled are suddenly underlined as being incorrectly spelled. In the status bar, the current language displays. I've tried highlighting all the text in the Note box and then double-clicking the status bar and changing the language back to English - and even tried using the default language setting in the dialog box. But, when I begin typing again and get to a specific section in the Notes section - the language changes back to Czech. It's very annoying.     - Printing chokes the network I'm working in PPT 2002, SP3, on a Win2k platform. I had 4 jpg images right from the small digital camera, and wanted two pictures per page. I used Photo Album to dump them into a small PPT show, and deleted the default title slide. Four quick slides = 3.3MB file. Printed handouts, 2 per page, fit paper, to a shared HP color laserjet 5500dtn. Several minutes later, I checked the settings to find it was pumping through a 72MB file - mine! What happened to expand the file size over 20x for a simple print command? I know about optimizing image sizes, which I do for large shows, but this was just a quick way to get a couple hard copies for the file. Our network will print 3MB files in a few seconds under normal (Word, Excel, Paint Shop, etc.) conditions. Is there anything I can do about this? Some of the slides contain information that I would like to have print 1 to a page, most of them are fine at 3 to a page. I would think this would be a fairly common need. I don't want to waste 120 pieces of paper if I can get it down to 60. After (exhaustive) tweaking and checking for accuracy, I found that when I created the new CD, then ran it from CD, that it was not WYSIWYG....and I'm confused. All the company presentations that they open in PP2007 appear to have an extra empty paragraph added to them that shoves the text upward in the text boxes. (Although placing the cursor at the end of the text in the text box and choosing delete does nothing.) However, when they open these same presentations in PP2003, they are fine and look as designed. Powerpoint uses the measurements from Windows. You have to go to
Start/Settings/Control Panel and there to the "Regional Options". It depends
on your Windows-Versions where to go next - have a look for "Numbers -
Measurement" or something similar. Change to "Metric".
