Okay, I have a little more time now.
1, 2, 3 and 5 seem like either a missing font or an "old bug coming to
light."
I'd first check the font and embeddability and all that. I think the 2007
Viewer has trouble with some fonts, embedded or not. I don't have any solid
evidence -- it's just a gut feeling.
Second, I know I have seen this type of thing in the past -- if I recall
correctly, at my request, a user here emailed me a file exhibiting similar
behavior. I was able to round-trip the file through HTML in PPT 2003, and
that resolved the issues. I don't like that process being the workaround
because it requires that you have a previous version of PPT available -- but
it's the best I've got. Do you have a previous version around so you could
try that? Round-tripping often weeds out the woollies, so it's definitely a
good thing to try.
http://www.pptworkbench.com/html/round_trip.htm for
instrux.
Oh yeah, also make sure you have the latest PPT 2007 Viewer. Download it
here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=048DC840-14E1-467D-8DCA-19D2A8FD7485&displaylang=en
(It's not the same one that shipped with PPT 2007.)
When you are testing the CD, are you testing on the same computer you
created the CD on, or are you testing on a different computer?
For #4, the .avi, I don't know why this would happen, especially since the
.avi runs in PPT 2007 itself. I would convert the AVI to WMV and see if that
helps. PFCPro and PFCMedia each have a fully functional trial version
available; you could use either to do this conversion.

I totally agree that this type of thing is frustrating, and I wish it
weren't so. I guess our challenge is to figure out what's going on in your
presentations and try to fix them the least painful way.
