    - Sharp Font Shadows in 2007... For our church, we've used PPT to put songs on the wall instead of using books. In 2003, I could use the shadow toolbar, choose black, select the font, and the shadows were great...made the font stand out against the background pictures we like to use. However, with 2007, the only font shadows I can find are in the format tab...but the shadows are soft. Part two is, when I save the file as a 2003 (because we haven't upgraded the church PC to 2007 yet, the shadows disappear.     - PowerPoint2007 - AutoRecovery Not Working Howdy, Auto recovery feature is turned on, but it fails to capture latest data (within 5min). We tested this with XP SP2/SP3 and Vista SP1. Not having same issue with Word or Excel 2007. In addition documents that we composed were in pure PowerPoint 2007 and in compatibility mode. Either way when PPTX crashed we can't recover document(s). When I go back to look if the Auto recovery feature is enable, it is not - this is the puzzling piece. How can I ensure that it stays on? Is there something that we do that causes to turn its self off? This defeats the purpose of having auto recovery if you can use it. Please suggest a way to troubleshoot this issue.     - Fill effect is transparent, but print is not Power Point 2003. On top of a JPG image a put a box that is filled with color. The top box is tranparent with some fill effect so that it looks like the image underneath it is edited that way. Looks great on presentation, but print preview and printing (color) does not include the transparency effect. HP printer is networked but settings seem OK. I understand the difference between the corner point and the other two. However, I'm struggling to see any big differences between the smooth and straight point options.     - Lines and Text Boxes - Functionality Question I want to create a flow diagram and link various decision and process boxes with lines which have text in them - e.g. a line coming from a decision diamond with a label YES on it and connected to a process box. I have browsed several posts and I am now under the impression that it is not possible to have a single line with text on it. This seems amazing - given that Powerpoint has gobbled up Visio and Visio supported such functionality. I have tried the idea of grouping a line, a text box and then another line together but find that this is unwieldy. Could a MVP please confirm my fears or point me in the right direction, please? If, to retrieve a slideshow, I start PowerPoint | File | Open, My Documents is displayed. When I open a .pps file from this My Documents window the slideshow comes up in .ppt mode instead. This anomaly applies to all the stored .pps files. If instead, I go to My Documents directly and open a .pps file, the slideshow starts up as we'd expect from a .pps.     - Re-display text after it's dimmed Hey everyone, PPT 2003 I set up custom animation to DIM the text after animating, so each bullet will turn gray when I display the next one. How do I RE-display that dimmed text when I'm done? In other words, when I reach the end of the slide, I want all of the bullet points to turn black again so people can see them and ask questions on them.     - Audio is not sync'd with video in Powerpoint i have successfully embedded a .avi video clip into Powerpoint. I had to upgrade to Office 2007 to do it, but the video is there!     - Cant Open .PPT File I'm attempting to open an old power point file. When I double click on the file, I get the message "The path or file name for A:\STUB.PPT is Invalid. Please check that the path and file name are correct". The file path and name are OK. When I attempt to open the file from within Power Point, I get the message "You are attempting to open a file type that is blocked by your registry policy setting". I'm using Power point R 2003(11.8227.8202) SP3. I'm running XP Professional SP3. I get identical results when trying to open a copy of the file from my hard drive.
