I have a user who set a password on a PPT to open the file "read only" then
forgot the password.

I'm not that familiar with coding PPT, I'm usually an XL guy; any ideas on
how it may be cracked or is he hosed?

First: Let him try the names of his girlfriend(s), favorite pets - the usual
stuff.

Second: Do a search on www.live.com or similar search engines. Please don't
expect that we will point you to illegal stuff in this newsgroup.

Best regards,
Ute

We can probably unpassword it if you mail me. You will need to be able to
prove that you have intellectual rights to the file though!

Hi John,

I am having this exact same problem and was wondering if you can help me. I
created a presentation and had to password protect it for work. I put the
password on a sticky in a safe place and now somehow it is not there. If I
can prove to you that I am the person who created this document, would you be
able to unpassword it for me??? I need to update it ASAP for an upcoming
training class.
