    - Enable Presenter View for a Single Screen Especially for Laptop Use. You can practice with your animations, speaker notes, the slide deck all at once without having to kill trees for notes, burn projector lamp life, or carry extra monitors on the plane (Who knows where you would plug them in.)     - Printing 2007 downloaded template in color from 2003 I downloaded a 2007 version template from this site and it works well - except for color printing. When I try to print in color, I can only get greyscale. My printer and program print fine in color - it is definitely the template and I suspect the version that causes this. I ahve even tried to PDF for color printing - which works but caused the file to balloon to 400+ MB and takes forever. Any solution to resolve this?     - Powerpoint movie Trying to automatically start an mpeg file inserted in a Powerpoint presentation. It will run if I click, but not automatically.     - PowerPoint2007 intercharacter spacing I have having an intermittent but major problem with the intercharacter spacing in ppt files that I am working on. At time, some characters seems to be displaying on top of each other, even to the point that 1 time all characters in the main boady of the presentation on all pages was smashed on the 1st character position.     - Advice on pasting charts from Excel to Powerpoint please I have an Excel sheet which has several small charts already arranged side by side. I just want to transfer them to a Powerpoint slide as a single simple image, I don't need any links or updating. I can select the area of the page with the charts, and then use copy and paste-special. If I choose Picture (enhanced metafile), then some parts of the image get changed, e.g. the background colour of the text in the legend changes from grey to white. On the other hand, if I choose Bitmap, the image comes through without changes, but looks a bit fuzzy, as if I need to increase the resolution. It would be really useful if there was an option in the footer of the Slide Master to allow users to add the next slide title automatically.     - Embedded video is blank Hi. I have a powerpoint project that runs fine on my desktop and even runs fine off a DVD copy or a Thumb drive copy on my Toshiba Satelite notebook. The problem is when I transfer it onto the hard drive of the notebook. All except one of the videos embedded into the project run fine. One of the videos just comes up with a blank screen.     - A couple of features PowerPoint is missing The lack of these two features leaves me looking for an alternative to PowerPoint. The first is moving backgrounds. Essentially the ability to add a video clip as a background to a slide. The other is Alert Messages. We use PowerPoint in our Church. Our Nursery Staff would like the ability to display the wristband number of a child who's parent need to come to the nursery. Alternately this could be a message like "Mr Smith you have a phone call". I have had some success finding add-ons for the moving backgrounds, but I have had no luck with the Alert Messages. Given that an integrated Presentation Manager with these features will cost me around $200-$300, I am not sure the $150-$300 price tag for an add-on to do moving backgrounds is worth it. I would prefer to stay with PowerPoint, but these are must haves according to our staff. Anyone know how I can package my slide (yes 1 slide with lots of sound and animation) so that when I email it and they click on it - it opens as a slideshow automatically? I don't want it to open in the normal editing mode and that's all I've been able to get it to do. I've tried saving for web and it runs slow and some people can't open it.     - Powerpoint 2007 Crashes when viewing or trying to apply themes When ever I view themes in Powerpoint 2007, or try to apply an existing theme to an open presentation, powerpoint closes and gives me an error. I have run diagnostics, I have installed the latest updates, I had my client test it out as well and it also crashed for them. I am in vista, they are in XP.     - Midi no longer plays I have two presentations with midi files inserted into slides. They worked fine a week ago, but now no loger play. Everything else works fine, wav files, wmv, mpg, etc. I tried removing and re-inserting to no avail. I don't have QuickTime installed.     - Presenter view on a single screen V 2007, Windows Vista Home Premium Is there anyway to force Presenter View to run on a single screen? It is very nice when you need to read your speaker notes and time animations while watching the actual presentation run.     - Removing Graphics for Print - is there a Print Master? I have a picture behind my text on the slide master. When I print, even if I select "Black and White only," it still prints this graphic, using huge amounts of toner and making the slides basically unreadable. In color, they're readable, but again that uses huge amounts of toner or ink and not everyone has a color printer. Is there any way to define something like a print Master that lets me specify to leave out the graphics behind the text for printing? Any other options? Morning all, I have several slideshows that I want to run sequentially and in a never ending loop so that after the last slide in the final slideshow has run, the first slideshow starts again. I've googled for anything from linking presentations to bonding and nothing... all I came across was a page that told me to do a .LST file and use that with powerpoint viewer... but still nothing... oh, also, the slideshows use data that will be updated often, so they have to be easy to modify. any ideas?     - Text Autofit Not Working in 1 document I have a document where the text Autofit feature is not resizing the text in the main text boxes in PowerPoint 2003. I checked Tools | Autocorrect Options | Autoformat as You Type, and it is set to Autofit body and title Text. It does work properly for the Title boxes at the top of the pages, just not for all the other text boxes. If I create a new document, I don't have the problem. It seems to be confined to the text boxes in this particular document. I had edited it in PowerPoint 2007 on another computer, if that could have corrupted it in some way. I have some Flash pieces that I want to use in my presentation. I've been
able to get them into the PPT and run them. Problem is, when I try to close
PPT, I get this error message:

There is an active or inserted linked object that can't be saved
automatically. Please close the object first.

Not sure what to do.

Any suggestions?

Try making the presentation read-only just before starting the slide show.
