In addition to Austin's reply, you can check if it is making font
substitutions by looking at the format -> replace fonts dialogue - any fonts
in the top drop down with a '?' next to them are not present on your machine
and will be replaced by PowerPoint. To overcome this, the maker of the ppt
should use widely available fonts or embed the fonts (tools -> options ->
save). However, not all fonts can be embedded and it can explode the size of
the file.
