Hi,

I am using PowerPoint 2003 professional (SP 1).

I want PowerPoint to point to my folder where I have stored some custom
powerpoint templates. I read a lot of web answers and followed all that, it
is still not working for me.

I tried to store my templates under C:> Documents and Settings | [my
Profile] | Application Data | Microsoft | Templates
This did not work.

Everytime when I am creating a new presentation I choose ' Templates--> On
my computer' As per the dozens of posts I read, Powerpoint should show an
extra tab with my folder's name.

For some reason I am not getting this extra tab.

Can someone please help.
Thanks in advance.

Pranav,
It should work, you need at least one template in that folder to make the
tab appear in the dialog.
If necessary just copy an existing template in the folder or make a brand
new one and store it there.
Now try again, the tab should be there.
Have a look here:

This will sound weird, but if you open Word (yes, Word, not PPT) and go to
Tools | Options, there's a File Locations tab. What's listed there?
