Hi

not sure what my problem is. I've created a show in powepoint 2003 and it
tests perfectly in f5 mode

When I pack it into Cd mode and play it the screen shows weird erratic views
with tables distorted and letters on top of each other.

I set it to 1024*768 and viewed it at that resolution. I've tried it on
several screens and all show the same. Weird thing is when I repeat the show
the "errors" are on different slides

Any ideas anyone?

thanks

Ian

What font does the presentation use?

Hi

the presentation uses Times New Roman and architect. I realise Architect is
not a "safe" font but I assumed that as I was playing the show on a system
with architect that was not causing the problem.

Does the player not embed the font? should I stick to the normal arial,
Times new, and verdena etc?

thanks

Well, the Viewer should play an embedded font if you embedded it. Fonts
don't get embedded automatically, though.

If the system had the font installed, the Viewer should play it properly. I
wonder if it's a printer driver issue? I know we see display issues because
of lack of printer drivers with PPT 2007, but I don't recall it being an
issue with the PPT Viewers.

This will sound weird, but have you rebooted lately?

Also, I had a PPT 2003 file that did weird font overlaps like that once --
reapplying the template fixed it. Not sure why. Might be worth a shot,
though.

Thanks for that, I've just re compiled it ensuring I selected embed fonts.
I'll then test it at my clients to see how it behaves. Hopefully this will
fix the problem

cheers
