I have made a power point display of photos to show to someone who only has
a DVD player. Is it possible to burn this programme to a DVD? I have Nero
8 but this does not want to know power point programmes.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.

You have to burn the ppt or pps file, not the program!

I have saved the presentation of photos compiled using power point but Nero
will not recognise it to allow me to transfer it to a DVD. Is there any way
of getting Nero to accept this format please?

One way of doing this would be to save your PPT file as a series of JPG or PNG
images (File, Save As and choose the file format you want).

Then load the images into MS Movie Maker (free with Windows XP, not sure of
Vista but I expect so) and create a movie. Then you can use the Nero bits to
create a DVD.

For the record Vista not only has Movie Maker (a better version) but also a
good DVD maker.

You can use Windows Movie Maker to make a video of your presentation
first,
then burn the video to DVD.
Or you can directly burn your PowerPoint to DVD with some professional
tool in this area such as Acoolsoft PPT2DVD.
You can also create DVD menus for your presentations.
More information of it you can go to :

Hope it can help

I have downloaded PPT2DVD (trial version) as suggested and attempted twice
to burn a DVD to no avail.
The programme runs and does all the necessary actions but fails when trying
to burn the final DVD. I have tried both the 'built in' burner and Nero
Burning. Both will not accept either a DVD-R or DVD-RW for some reason.
Any help on this problem please.

I use the converter PPT2DVD. You can convert your PowerPoint to DVD
with this tool. More information about this tool,
http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/ppt2dvd/overview.html#104 the output
quality is excellent. Most important, it can create DVD menus,
you can play your presentation on DVD player with DVD remote control
and DVD menus
download the free trial version from http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/download/pow=
erpoint-dvd-download.php#104

If your PowerPoint doesn=92t have animations in it, you can save your
presentation to images and then import these images
into Windows Movie Maker, it is free on your computer if you use
windows XP or Vista. There are 5 ways for you to play
your PowerPoint to DVD http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/blog/2007/12/11/5-methods-=
