I have downloaded the office to pdf addin and it works very well. However, I
want my students to see and print the slides from the pdf file, but I don't
want them to be able to copy or alter them. Any suggestions?

With Adobe Acrobat and some other products you can set security on a PDF to
prevent copying/editing, either at the time the PDF is created or later when
editing it.

Check the documentation and/or user settings for the PDF making program you use
to see if this is available. Let us know which program it is ... perhaps
someone else here uses it and can supply the info you need.
