Hello everyone,
I have been trying to "get right" the searching mechanism from Portal
for over a month.
I am recieving one of two errors. I believe the no-index may be a
trickle down error of the access denied.
1. Content for this URL is excluded by the server because a no-index
attribute.
2.
The content source <http://server/> cannot be accessed.
Context: http://server/ Application, Portal_Content Catalog
Details:
Access is denied. Check that the Default Content Access Account in
SharePoint Central Administration is correct, or follow the "Exclude
and Include Content" link to add a rule to specify the proper crawling
account to access this URL. (0x80041205)
Here is the laundry list of attempts to correct:
- Loaded Portal 2003 SP2 and hotfix 919175
- Create Domain admin account for searching
- Added in a correct Proxy server and a fake one in Central admin
- Used my enterprise admin account for DCA account
- Kicked machine. (2)
- Redid the "exclude\include rules"
- Added server, both FQDN and Wins, name to the Proxy exclusion
- Added server to trusted site in IE
- Added server to Intranet sites in IE
- Checked Automatically Detect Settings in IE Lan Connection settings
- Added Sharepoint Admin group to Local Admin of machine
-Verified the password for the application pool.
- Enabled Anonymous access in IIS
- Slapped machine
- Verified sharepoint admins and DCA account have rights to %temp% an
%tmp%
Seems to be lots of others who have had this error, many plosts without
resolution.
My next step is to open a support case, but I fugured I would check
with the community before going to them.
Thanks for your time
