"unexpected error"

When trying to add users to sharepoint, I try to use the web interface to
search Active Directory for the security group or user name/alias. All I get
back is "Unexpcted error"


However, I can add individuals by e-mail address and it seems to pick up the
domain when sending the invitation to the user.

I have about 100 users to add and I really do not want to add one at a time.
I would prefer to use security groups through active directory.

Did you check the server's event log to see if there was more information
there. Also check SPS' log.
