When I click - Edit Page, it refreshes but does not give me a "Modify Shared
Page".
I want to add a web part or 2 tot hat page. Any ideas?

Are you logged on as the Administrator or a user with content manager rights
? If you are and it still doesn't show did a 3rd party company setup your
portal and possibly code this link out ?

I am logged in as Administrator. 3rd party was not involved, I setup the
portal, pretty much with all defaults as far as portal content out of the box.
I am able to edit all other areas - Home, News, Topics...

Any ideas, or hacks?

I tried adding
?Mode=Edit&PageView=Shared
to the
Summary.asp
(http://portal/SiteDirectory/Lists/Sites/Summary.aspx?Mode=Edit&PageView=Shared)
doesn't work

please help

I see now , you are referring to the Sites Directory Area template. You are
not doing anything wrong , the modify shared page is not available for this
area template.

Steve, appreciate the time!
So, in order to modify that page, the only resort is to manually edit files?
Thanks.
