Hello everyone, I have been working with WSS and Portal style sheets mainly:
ows.css, sps.css, and MENU.css and have successfully changed the look and
theme of both the Portal and WSS sites. Although I am missing one change.
If you click Modify Shared Page Ican change the background color and the
text color but the blue vertical bar area on the left side of the drop down
menu is what I can't find. I know it
can be changed because if I apply a predefined theme it changes to a gray
color. Whether this is an image or not, I still want to change the color of
it. Any ideas?

Thanks

How did you know where it was? Is there a guide out there for these types of
menu items? I know there is one for WSS sites but I couldn't find any about
the drop down menus.

Thanks for your help

No, there is not SPS style sheet guide that I have found. The WSS guide helps some but most of it I have learned from trial and error. These sheets are so complicated that a guide should be an essential offering from MS.

Kate,

Check the WSS SDK documentation as it contains a section on customizing the
site using CSS and presents a visual listing of the styles in the various
CSS files and what they look like.

You can also view it online here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/spptsdk/html/tsovCSSStyles.asp

That helps with WSS sites, but not SPS sites or the drop down menus that you
get if you modify the page or browse for web parts. There should be a guide
for these as well
