Hi there,

does anybody know how to stop all services of a running MOSS 2007
instance?
I'd like to make a image of the server. Therefore I need a consistant
status of all of the data.
Stopping IIS and MS SQL Server seems to be not enough because I got
several error messages in the event logs, e.g. SearchService of MOSS
is reporting an error ...

Regards,

daniel

Find all that refer to SharePoint and stop them (especially the
Timer).

Hope this helps,
Hugo

Hi Daniel,

You have to stop the following;
1. Windows SharePoint Services Administration
2. Windows SharePoint Services Timer
3. Windows SharePoint Services Tracing
4. Windows SharePoint Services VSS Writer
5. Office SharePoint Server Search (if you are running MOSS)
