Hi,

Is it possible to have a site portal with Sharepoint portal server 2003, on
a virtual directory on TCP port 8080 (not the default web site, and not port
80) and SSL 443 + Basic authentification ? The goal is to have only one
portal site for the intranet and the extranet.

Thank's

So if I understand, it is not possible to have a Sharepoint portal site under
SSL with only one virtual server. I must have 2 virtual server. One for
intranet and one other for the extranet with ssl protection that map to the
site portal.
I'm I correct ?

ThanK's !

Not necessarily. You could have one VS and use both HTTP and HTTPS. The
problem is for the extranet you would probably prefer to use basic
authentication while internally you would want integrated. If that is the
case 2 virtual servers work best.
