Hi

i want to install sharepoint in the DMZ to create a document
repository which can be accessed both internally and also by external
partners.

we do not need much of aggregation etc...what would be a better option
to do the same...sps2003 or wss ver2??

i read about many deployments using ISA server but is there some way
to do it without using it?

please help !!

For one thing, why are you talking about previous versions of the
product family?

In any case, from how you describe it I would say you should only
consider the 'server' product if you require search across your
repository (which will most likely be comprised of several top-level
site collections). If you are not particularly bothered, then just go
for WSS (but V3, not V2).

As for ISA, this is just an all-Microsoft option. If you already have
DMZ this must mean you already have some sort of firewall, so in most
cases you'll be able to use that.
