wss 3.0 sharepoint designer workflow email issue

I have setup a workflow in sharepoint designer
we are running wss 3.0 & I have also tried this on a moss enterprise site
with the same results
the site email alerts work fine.
I have setup up a workflow that runs, but I receiuve no emails. the tasks
are created and the steps proceed, except no emails are snet. I see no
obvious reason. I do not see errors in the event los
Any help would be appreciated

I also have the exact same issue. I have checked the usual places for
errors but it all seems ok. Let me know if you have figured it out.

Did you configure e-mail settings for your web-application in central
administration?
