problem with workflows in sharepoint 2007

Hi,

when a user initiates a workflow in moss 2007, the assigned user gets
an email in outlook 2007. to complete the task, the user opens the
task and clicks on "Edit this Task" button - but nothing happens when
the button is clicked.

anybody know what could be causing this error??? or what i could do to
resolve it????
