Hi,
I am wondering where the regional settings for mysit/personal site get
picked up from.

We have set the regional settings for both the portal and the
sharepoint services servers to uk, but when I create a mysite (also the
personal site) for a user the date settings show up in US format.

Also is there any way to update existing mysites/personal sites so
that the date settings are all uk rather tha US.

Thanks Milan

From your site select "Site Settings" and then "Manage security and
additional settings" and finally "Modify regional settings". I would guess
you want to set your Local to "English (United Kingdom)"

Thanks for your reply, I should have been a bit clearer.
We have set the regional settings as you have described, but when I
tried creating a mysite afterwards it still defaults to US.
I am wondering where else it can pick up the settings from when you
create a mysite.
Thanks

Hi,
I have stumbled upon a solution which seems to cure the problem wuth
the regiona settings for mysite. In addition to checking the regional
settings in within the portal itself, it is worth checking the regional
settings in teh control panel.Even though I had United Kingdom in the
protal and the control panel/regional settings I had United states in
the control panel/regional settiongs location field.
Mysites were using this to get the regional setting on creation - not
the setting in the portal.
thanks
Milan

Ignore the last post - it didn't work. It seemed to have fixed it , but
it has comeback so still a mystery as to where it is coming from.
Any ideas would be welcome.
