When I add a new user to a site and check the send e-mail option I get the
follwing error :
The user or users have been added successfully, but there was an error in
sending the e-mail message.
\The server may not be set up correctly to send e-mail. To verify that
e-mail is configured correctly,
contact your server administrator.
Also my alerts don't work.
I've configured SPS to use my Exchange 2000 server.
What's wrong on Exchange server bucause this worked a few days ago.

You should be able to find what is wrong in one of 3 places.

1. Check the event viewer on the server
2. Run NETMON and watch the SMTP traffic
3. Monitor the SMTP traffic from Exchange (the guys from the Exchange
newsgroup might be able to help you set this up)
