How does Daily Alerts work?

hi,
anybody knows how could i configure Daily Alerts, to do not generate day
report until 6am? Coz some of our guy are working til 3am.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\60\BIN>stsadm.exe -o setproperty -pn job-daily-notification -pv
6:00am

There are other properties too that you can set, they can all be found in
the WSS Admin guide. But the command line above will do what you want.

Does this work for you? I have looked at this setting and have never seen
it successfully work for SPS. I actually have read that it works for WSS
only. Did MS fix this?

not
job-daily-notification

This method only works for WSS alerts. SPS daily alerts are sent about 24
hours after the time that they are created. For example, if you created a
daily alert around 15:00 then the next time it will be scheduled to come to
you is sometime around 15:00. There is no supported way change this time to
send the alerts at a specific time as you request. The design was done as
not to flood the email server.
