How to display MSN web component on sps2003?

I want to display stock,msnbc news,weather,and so on component on my portal
server.
in sps1.0,there are some web part providing these functions.
but in sps2003,i could not find out these web parts,how could i get them?
otherwise,i found some msn web components in frontpage2003,but i could not
modify properties of these components,why?

But I could not find any webpart helpful for me from microsoft's sites. :(

Well in my defence I said "I think" it was a simple download from MSDN. It
was maybe 4 months ago and well before I started adding that kind of useful
links to the WSS FAQ site so I have no record of it.

However a quick search with Google gave me

Seth Hitesh's page on webparts http://www.hiteshseth.com/webparts/ (which
is also refenced in the WSS FAQ) and he thinks the MSNBC parts for weather
etc. are in the Microsoft Web Components set (the download for which is in
the MS Articles / downloads section of the WSS FAQ).

So try that

I've got an MSNBC weather web part installed on WSS 2003... I found this one
(and others) by:

1) adding a web part by "browsing"...
2) selecting the "Online Gallery"

Does this help?

Michael, the default at least in WSS is that there aren't any web parts in
Online Gallery.

They get added there when you do something - probably when you install
Office Web Components.

Had you already done that ?

Likely... you know how it is... there's so much to learn... I think there's
another thread that's somewhat related... see "V2 online gallery problem" by
Dave, ealier this morning...

This is the stuff we're missing...

In Windows Sharepoint services Admin:
1) Configure Virtual Server Settings
2) Default Web Site (or whichever)
3) Manage security settings for Web Part Pages
4) Online Web Part Gallery = Enabled

Then, in the web.config file, there's a line like this:

<OnlineLibrary Url="http://r.office.microsoft.com/r/hlidAwsGallery" />

I would imagine if you put this web part on a Portal page and set the
location, that's what everyone will see...
